Volunteer with Children in Cape Town South Africa summer program for students

"I have never seen such beauty and inspiration as I have in Cape Town. In the cliffs, the mountains, the animals, the Cape Mansions, the township houses, the hope, the people, the perseverance. I will never forget it."

Global Leadership Adventures is excited to offer its flagship Cape Town program on the beautiful coastline of South Africa. Cape Town, famous for its harbor as well as its glorious natural setting, is an ideal location to explore leadership. Against this backdrop of magnificent sites, South Africa is a dynamic nation to be experienced.

2009 will mark the country's 15-year anniversary transition from Apartheid to democracy. Today, the rapid pace of change and hope for a prosperous future captivates visitors.  However, the lasting affects of apartheid have continued to resonate and a time of racial categorizing and hierarchy can be seen in the racially divided areas of the city, the contrasts in poverty and wealth, as well in every other avenue of life.

Join GLA in Cape Town to work with children of the townships to restore their futures after the apartheid regime.  Go into orphanages, schools and community centers to positively give hope to the youth of the city.   These townships are intense places to visit because the extreme levels of poverty can be incredibly shocking; one room shacks, housing entire families stretch as far as the eye can see.  However, within the walls of shacks you meet the warmest, most genuine people, anxious to talk with you and know your name.

The program fills up quickly, so apply now to reserve your space.
